The Vannucci yacht agency was founded in 1825 in Viareggio by the head of
the family Carlo Vannucci (1785-1864). His son Andrea (1840-1928) took over from Carlo Vannucci, while his second son, Benvenuto (1837-1877) founded another similar activity in Genoa. Mario (1881-1952) and Atto (1883-1977), his sons, succeeded Andrea in the management of the yacht agency of Viareggio, while his other son, Benvenuto (1886 -1918), preferred starting the same business in Marseilles. After the death of Mario and Atto, the agency of Viareggio passed to Andrea (1914-2008). The Vannucci’s were a family of ship owners. In the assistance sector with Benvenuto and Carlandrea, Andrea’s sons, the most important national and international relationships were born: between 1970 and 1990 three thousand ships were served with a movement of three millions tons of various cargos. After the second world war the agency started to follow the building of the first freighters and motor yachts in the Darsenas of Viareggio and today Benvenuto Vannucci, together with his sons Paolo and Andrea, have become specialized in tourist assistance to mega yachts. |
